All of our available dogs have been spayed or neutered, are current on their age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, and receive medical treatment when necessary. Adoption fees cover all of these costs and the care they receive. Each of our dogs and puppies stay with a foster family, where they are integrated into family life and are treated like one of the family. Our dogs are not kenneled all day, and they receive one on one attention and training.
Our available dogs and puppies are taken to one of our adoption clinics for potential adopters to meet the dogs. Clinics are held in Anchorage and also in the Wasilla/Palmer area. Please check back often as clinic locations and hours vary. Potential adopters may also contact the foster home during the week to schedule time to meet the puppies.

We will only adopt to adults 21 years of age or older who have appropriate housing for the breed, size, care requirements, and time to spend with the dog on a regular basis. They must agree to abide by all landlord and homeowner association rules including number, breed, and size of pets permitted. ADPR reserves the right to visit the adoptive home before or after placement of the dog. All adopters must complete a satisfactory adoption interview and required paperwork. ADPR reserves the right to deny an adoption if the match does not seem appropriate.
