Meet Kimba. We've pulled her from Houston, but she's in need of a foster or forever home.

We don't know much about Kimba since she's currently being kenneled while we find a foster home, but Houston's Animal Shelter states:

"Whoever gets Kimba will be greatly rewarded! She is very playful, seems to love everybody she meets, and allowed shelter staff to handle her food and clean up her area without any guarding or aggressiveness."

Contact fosterfinder4adpr@hotmail.com if you are interested in fostering or adopting Kimba.

Meet Bugatti!

Bugatti is a very sweet 1 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is a medium energy dog and knows how to sit,  stay, and lay down. Bugatti loves to play and get pets. He is curious about everything and is an all around fun loving guy. He does not do well with cats or small dogs but does wrestle with other dogs but he needs to be closely watched because it can quickly escalate into something more.  He doesn't seem to understand boundaries or personal space but with lots of training that can be fixed. He's sweet with his foster mom and even with the grand kids who come around on the weekend. Bugatti would do best in a home with no cats and if there is another dog to make sure there is no dominance issues as well as an owner who would go running and help him get some of his energy out.

Starting Oct. 20th - Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue is starting "Food for Paws". This is a food drive to build up stores for our community pet food bank.

We have been providing pet food to Houston Animal Control, local food banks, and to individual families who are unable to adequately feed their pets in times of need. Help us to continue this worthy program.

Please donate canned and dry pet food, treats, and toys to help make a difference. Food can also be dropped off at any of our future adoption clinics or at Paw Prince during their business hours.

Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue (ADPR) is humbled by the generosity shown from the many Alaskans who donated a portion of their dividend checks to our group. This year, YOU made a difference by donating $65, 100 to the homeless dogs and puppies throughout Alaska. This money will allow for many dogs to be rescued and united with their forever homes. Each of these dogs will be spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and dewormed. In addition, any medical issues will be addressed. These dogs are rescued from throughout Alaska, including Bush communities such as Kotzebue, Dutch Harbor, and Bethel.
